When scammers are desperate for money and their victim is not forthcoming with sending cash to them but is willing to forward it on to the hotel manager to pay their lovers outstanding hotel bills, the scammer will give his lover the name of the Hotel Manager in an effort to speed up the transfer before he is caught out.
Most people think this name is just another stolen identity. WRONG. The truth is this name is not always fictitious and if you google the Hotel Managers name and add Facebook after it, no doubt a Nigerian between the ages of 18-24 will appear before your eyes. He may be associated with whoever is scamming/scammed you. You may question why the authorities allow this to take place. The only answer is that they are not investigating the smaller crimes in Nigeria. Many people may refuse to believe or acknowledge that scammers use their own names or those of their acquaintances but if you consider that small-time scammers have no one investigating them ... they are not concerned with being traced..
